On her way back to camp in the dark sky, Lightingstreak slowly walked through the clearing. Her head down along with her ears and tail. She stopped and looked up at the trees. She started to climb a tree and lays down on a branch, closest to the ground. She laid there, her eyes filled with sadness and betrayal. She flt like she betrayed Rubystar earlier, putting a heavy weight on her heart. "No matter what i do now, Rubystar isnt impressed. Maybe, for the next few months, Silverstripe and me and can seprate missons. *sighs* i guess...sacrifices do have to be made." She said sady as shelooked up again. Lghtningstreak stood up and stretched. "Maybe i'll do a little bit of midnight hunting." She sai as she started toclimb up farther into the trees, looking for sqirlle's ests and bird's nest.

Silverstriped looked at his beautiful; mate his brigt gray eyes looking at her yellow streak, '' She is being un fair,'' he said as he walked up to her, his paws making a light sound on the dirt, He sighed sitting under a tree, his tail twitching, Silverstripe really wanted kits but this was time? well no maybe not Rubystar was being so unfair he did not know what to do.

Lightningstreak didn't even here her mate's voic for she was too far up the tree an lost inher mind. She kept thinking bout today's event over and over her head. "We need a deputy for our clan to help choose the cats to go on the patrols." She thought as she slowly walked on a branch to a bird's nest. Claws unsheathed, fur laid back, ears back and eyes shining in the moonlight, she crouched down, ready to pounce on the bird's nest in frontof her. Taking little steps t a time, she walked closer to it By the time the bird wke up and about to fly off, Lightningstreak pulled the bird to the branch and killed itwith a qick bite. Satisfd with her work, she picked up and started to walk on the branches back to the camp.

Silver looked at his mate it seemed that she had not heard I'm, she he followed her, he had decided to jumped on her tackling the she-cat. He crouched down low his tail wagging from side to side, and he pounced her, making them role a bit in the grass he just hoped that Lightning did not loose the meal, '' Did you not see me back there/'', he smiled hoping she did not get mad. Shaking his pelt the male stood up sitting in front of his mate thinking of the future.

Lightningstreak was surprised when she was tackled, but was glad that it was her mate and not another creature. "Hey Silverstripe..." She said as she sat down and looked at him. "Listen...i think it'll be best if we dont mess around in camp anymore...with Rubystar angry at us with basically everything we do, I think we should just act like clan mates." She said as she licked his cheek. "When we are not on a patrol or arent doing anything, we'll hang out ok. I just don't want Rubystar to yell at us anymore." She said sadly as she gently picked her bird up and starts to walk back to camp, her tail brushing against Silverstripe as she walked away.

Silver smiled his tail twitching, the sun was beating down on the two cats, the toms pelt look silver or white you could even say, he laughed at his mates surprised face, '' Well i would never allow a creature to attack you''. He rolled over letting her get up, making grass and leaves stick to his pelt, the tom shook the excess dirt and followed his mate '' that you, and i agree with you,she is getting a little bit to bossy'', he licked her back, his ruff tongue making the fur on her forehead stick up. He followed his mate, side by side, hoping Rubystar would not yell at them again, life as a clan cat was hard enough. |

"Silverstripe, I think we should enter the camp at different times for that way Rubystar wont yell at us again." Lightingstreak said as she stopped in front of the camp entrance, her squirrle resting on the ground. "This clan needs a deputy." She thought as she picked her prey up. "See you later." She muttered, mouth full of prey and she walks back into the camp.

The silver tom nodded, he hopped the leader would end this soon, how would the clan ever grown if two mates cant even be left alone together? He sighed and waved to his mate giving her a final lick on her flank as she walked by. That's fine, maybe ill hunt, give me a reason to be there later...'', Silverstripe looked back as she walked away and hopped up, he started to trot away his grey eyes searching for a happy future, or prey. |
