~Chapter 1~
Faith woke up, she had been dreaming. She looked around and yawned. She saw only the darkness of night and the slight shining of the moon through the window, she meowed. She didn't know if the two-legs had woke yet, so she got up and walked out the cat door."Gonna be a beautiful day" Shaf, another cat, said.Faith shook her head, "How do you know? It's still night time you old coot!" She spat."Well atleast i'm not as old as you!" Shaf spat back.Soon Vive came from her twoleg nest and stretched, "You two just can't let a cat sleep, can you?" She joked."Sorry Vive, I didn't mean to wake you....I don't know about that old coot over there or not." She glared at Shaf.Vive jumped up onto the fence rail, and sat down."Settle down Faith, I don't mind waking up early."She said as she began to groom herself. 'I'm not even old!' Faith thought to herself. She plunged at Shaf, knocking him off the fence rail.Shaf gave a loud yowl and a hiss, then spat "What are you doing!?". "I'm just proving my strength" Faith said with a smile, she jumped off of him and flicked her tail as she jumped over the fence back into the garden.Shaf didn't looked happy, that was for sure.He walked back into his twoleg nest, little did Faith know she would never see him again.
Later, Faith walked about in the kitchen.A young two leg, Amy, had just woke and was now walking in the kitchen fixing her parents something called 'Coffee'. From what Faith knew, it gave the two legs energy.Faith meowed as she walked around Amys' feet, "Stop it Faith!" Amy told her.Faith mewed once more, hoping for some food."Quite you!" Amy said, she was getting annoyed and Faith knew it.Faith mewed louder, "Fine, you stupid cat!" Amy said, she walked over to the cat bowl, grabbed some food, and poured it into the bowl."Now, leave me alone!" Amy said.Faith mewed once more, then walked over to the food dish and began to eat.She purred with delight as she ate.She licked her whiskers and walked out the cat door. She lay down on the fence, and heard a car pull out of the drive way.Her ear flicked but she knew they'd be back later.
Later that night Faith walked about in the twolegs resting place."Where could they be?!" She asked herself aloud. She walked out of the resting place and went to her own cat-bed.She curled up in it, but how could she sleep if so many quiestions ran through her head.Finaly she made up her mind and told herself 'They'll be back in the morning when I wake.' Feeling a bit better, she soon went to sleep.
Faith slowly opened her eyes, everything was still the same as when she had fallen asleep."Are they back?" She asked herself. She checked around everywhere, but no two-legs in sight. She went outside and sat on the fence rail, waiting for them to return home....But would they?
Faith looked around as she sat on the fence rail. Why hadn't the two legs come back? They left yesterday! She looked around and meowed, but heard only the twitter of birds in a near by tree. She looked out into the dark gloomy forest, what ly out there, she wondered. She jumped off of the fence rail and smelt the air.She sighed heavily, and looked back.'They aren't coming back' She thought to herself. She trotted onward into the depths of the forest.
She jumped up and looked around, a twig cracked.'What happened?' she thought. She looked around and saw she was lying in the center of a clear patch of dust."Hello?Anyone here?" She mewed. She coughed as she stood up, dust stirred a bit as she moved. She gave a loud cough when dust entered her lungs, "Where am I?" She asked aloud. She continued walking until she felt a great streak of pain down her face. She groaned, but continued walking.
She opened her mouth slightly and a scent hit the roof of her mouth, 'water?' she asked herself. She trotted toward the direction and saw a calm flowing stream, it looked as if it was placed there just for her, The way it curved down the slight hills in the side of the ground.'Odd....But im so thirsty!' She thought.Faith trotted down to the small stream and bent down, but when she saw her reflection, she hissed. There, on her eye, was a claw mark that lead from the top of her eye to her nose! She yowled "How!?" and birds flew from the trees near by.
She heard a twig crack again, just as she had earlier. She could tell this one was made my a cat; A heavy cat.She heard a loud, haunting, evil laugh from somewere."Who are you?" Faith yowled at the top of her lungs. She turned to face a muscle built silver tom cat, who had an evil expression on his face."Run, kitten, run." He smirked, his eyes were growing narrow and feirce.Faith ran towards the trees, unsure of where she was going.
~Chapter 2~
Faith found herself still running a few minutes later, she peered over her shoulder.A sigh of releif fell upon her when she didn't see the silver cat.She walked next to a fence, apperently a border of some type, and lay down by it, feeling safe for some reason. She fell to a sound sleep.
Faith aws awoken by a she-cat with a yellow streak."What are you doing on Nightclan's border?" She asked with a snarl.A Black she-cat stepped in front of this other cat, and asked in a more welcoming way, "What is your buisness here?Or have you just accidently wondered upon us?" The cats orange and yellow eyes were amazing.Faith was Alarmed, she jumped up. Her eyes filled with fear at the sight of other cats, these cats looked strong! "I-I-I-" she stuttered. "I was exploring! Then I found this place....N-N-nightclan?What the heck is that!?" She asked franticaly. She had only been sleeping, then awoken franticaly by other cats. She felt overwhelmed with fear.
Rubystar stared at Faith while she made her explanation. "Relax." She said to the patrol and to the cat, obviously a kittypet. "NightClan is mostly what you see in front of you. It is a group of cats, a clan called Night." She explained as best as she could. "There are four clans, surrounding you," Rubystar flicked her tail in all four directions. "You just happened upon NightClan." She smiled. "No need to worry, we're not a threat to you if you're not a threat to us," She purred with laughter. "And you are clearly not a threat to us." Rubystar's eyes glowed yellow, with a bit of a golden slashed from the outer eye to the pupil in her left eye. It was weird but it was her own. "Do you still have twolegs?" Rubystar asked suddenly serious. Faith remained standing, 'What should I do?!' She thought.'If I try to fight, they will attack but I can't say im JUST a kitty pet, im a great fighter!' She thought for a moment then knew what she had to say. " I'm not going to take that as an insult, nor compliment." She said boldy. She stood bravely, but not in a threatening way. "For I am a great fighter.I've killed many, most are not from the feline species, but I have killed small dogs who have wandered about." She said bravely."So i'm not just your average kitty pet. I'm a loyal fighter and hunter, but I also enjoy the comfort of a soft bed. So?Is there a problem with a cat who likes warmth and comfort, but also likes the cold air of nightly hunting?" She flicked her tail " And, I must've had some bravery to leave the comfort of my garden for the fur splitting wild.My two legs haven't returned, so just as they left me I left them." She said even more bravley, she was pushing it a bit now but she was trying to prove her point; She wasn't your average kitty pet.
The cat with a yellow streak looked at the black she cat, "Should we let this cat in the clan or not?" She asked.Faith thought to herself as the cats spoke, waiting patiently. The grey cat suddenly turned towards Faith, "Sorry for snapping at you, My name is LightningStreak." The cat said.
