Lightningstreak stood in he middle of her secret spot, slashing at the trees and grass. She was upset about everything. She stopped near a rock, sat down on her hind legs and looks down at the ground. She wished her life was like grass, moving gently in the winds. "Why does my life have to be such a screw up? No matter what i do i fail at it. All i want to do is to impresse Rubystar but i cant and i never will. I fail at everything from being a kittypet when i was a kit, being a rogue after i ranaway from my twolegs place and being a clan cat. I dont belong anywhere." She said to herself, voice filled with saddness. "I dont even see why Silverstripe likes me. All i do is cause trouble. I should of just stay to myself, for i wouldnt hurt anyone." She said as she continued to look down. She saw a shadow flying around her and sees a hawk coming towards her. She watches as a you hawk lands next to her and looks at her. "Your worried about me as well huh? Oh Redwing, what am i going to do? My life is like yours now, everyone turning away from you even though your a hawk. To those other hawks, your not welcomed after you were wounded. I guess, we're still in this together huh?" She asked as she looked at Redwing. She smiled slightly as Redwing answered her. "Now go on. Ill be fine i guess." She said as she looked up at the hawk. She watches as the hawk flew away with sad eyes. She looked back down at the grass again. Eyes filled with saddness and her ears down in depress.

Black paws flashed silently against the green foliage of the forest floor, the she-cat knew thos territory like the back of her paws and she knew those very well. Deep amber eyes flickered around the tree filled area, midnight ears swivelling- listening for the sound of a warrior. Slowing, NightClan's leader carefully crept toward the sound of a she-cat's lovely voice. Rubystar knew exactly who it was, and she wasn't impressed by this certain cats performance. There had to be something other than the fact that the midnight black cat had split the mates up from patrols to make such an ambitious warrior act out like she did. Coming to the bare edge of a clearing, the amber eyed female slowed, listening to the mournful words of a saddened cat. Of course, Rubystar herself didn't understand it, she did not class disobeying orders as trying to impress someone. Nevertheless the fair leader strode forward into the clearing, her ears pointed and her tail swaying high above herself. Watching the hawk flutter away, Rubystar stood in front of her warrior, a soft but stern look in her eye.
"Now Lightningstreak, your life isn't a screw up, I know that for sure. You could impress me, and you have in the past,"
Maybe her voice wasn't as soft as it could be, but it was as soft as it was going to get in this situation. After all, the NightClan leader was still irritated at the black and yellow warrior in front of her. Her deep amber eyes were soft though, she quite liked Lightningstreak as long as she gained respect from her. Otherwise... not so much. Sighing, Rubystar sat, ready for a long discussion.
"I know you can be just as hardworking as any cat, but Lightningstreak. You have to respect my decisions, that's all you have to do to impress me and the Clan."
Pausing again, the midnight leader thought of what else she needed to say.
"I only do what I do for your own good. That's all I can say to you Lightningstreak, I've tried to explain this but you don't give me the chance."

Lightningstreak stayed the same as she listened to her leader talking to her. "Im sorry Rubystar." The she-cat said softly as she continued to look at the ground. "But..." She started as she looked up at her leader slowly, eyes glistening like water. "I-Ive been having this feeling that something bad will happen during the gathering that i have to get stronger for. I dont know what it is but it feels like i have to be the strongest and swiftest cat in the clan. Thats why i havent slept and spent time with Silverstripe for the past month. Ive been here, training myself to get stonger and quicker. And also, i have a feeling that you and the other leaders are in trouble and why i have to get stronger as well. To prtect you from the harm thats going to come if my feelings are right Rubystar." She said as she continues to look in the leader's eyes.

Smiling in approval, Rubystar lightened up toward the lightning branded she-cat in front of her. At least she had apologized for her behaviour, after all that was all that the midnight she-cat had ever wanted of her favorite warrior. Apologies were not easily given, but things are often fogiven. Though the 'but...' was a little disconcerting, what was wrong now? NightClan's leader could feel the weight behind the words and the truth to them too. Truth be told that Rubystar had been feeling off lately, feelings of danger and trouble. Her medicine cat's hadn't received a sign though, so she had settled slightly. Maybe something really was going to happen, she'd have to discuss that at the next Gathering that was fast approaching. By then her suspiscions would be confirmed by a sign from StarClan, hopefully, when her Medicine Cats returned from the Moonpool.
"I thank you for your worry, but I was once a warrior too and a fine one at that."
Silently she relived a few memories that took place in what seemed like an eternity, but took place in only a moment or two. A small intake of breath was almost silent but not quite, as she sighed. Her warrior days were her best, but she loved being a leader, she had always been destined to live her life as one. She was determined to be one to be remembered, she could only hope that she would be remembered well.
"I know what you mean Lightningstreak but thank you for confirming my worries."
Rubystar mused to the warrior she-cat in front of her, still deep in thought before a smile reached her black maw. She flicked her warrior's shoulder with her thin black tail playfully before stating a fact that needed to be stated. This she-cat needed some rest, or she wouldn't be any help in the hard times ahead. That was what Rubystar would use against her, to get her to go to sleep. No one wanted an exhausted warrior that was no help in the worst of times.
"But you need to sleep. I won't listen to any protests of yours. You won't be any help if you're too exhausted to move!"
Chuckling slightly NightClan's leader waited for her warriors answer to all of this. Maybe Lightningstreak still had a chance at deputy, but the chance was only slight until she could further prove herself. Black claws sunk into the ground slightly in anxiety, as she realized that if the danger was real, her clan was too small to be able to defend themselves much.

Lightningstreak bowed her head at her leader. "Of course. Ill be leaving now." She said as she stood up and started to walk away, back to camp. She was glad that she and Rubystar 'made up' with eachother. She just hopes that she can protect her and her clan.
