I looked behind me to make sure Honeypaw following me. "Now that I've showed you all of IceClan's territory, a good Warrior should always know there territory inside out. We can start your battle training. All warriors fight battles sometime in there life. Even apprintices like you. At one time in our history kits fought too but that was a long time ago in the original clans and even back then it was not allowed." I said. I knew this territory better than anyone else so it was only natural that I wanted Honeypaw to know it just as well. I also wanted Honeypaw to know some basic moves especially right now...for what is about to happen. A great evil in the forest would be gone by the gathering and I was the cat that was going to do it. I shivered and then turned to Honeypaw. "Do you remember what this part of the forest? This is where you will do all your training.'' I asked. I looked at my apprintice with pride. I knew that she would be a great warrior one day.

I followed along obediently, picking my paws high off the ground as we walked threw tall grasses and things. I stopped to bat at a butterfly but quickly hurried to catch up to Fireflight. I mewed when we stopped at training hollow, I knew what we were going to be doing! My tail twitched with excitement and a squeak left me. I looked up at Fireflight before standing and arching my back, I batted at her face my claws of course concealed and then I bounded away and then just as quickly sat down behind her. I was having fun I did not know about her but at least I was. I wiggled my butt and pounced on her tail, before sitting back down, ok so I would be good now. I would listen to everything she had to say... oh what was that? I got down in a crouch position and went into the weeds and pounced on a mouse. I brought it back and set it down in front of Fireflight, ok now I was ready to listen to everything she had to say and wanted me to do. |

"Did you just hear anything I just said?" I asked, a little annoyed. "Oh well no matter. Some frisking around like a kit." I scolded. I looked at the mouse in front of my paws. "Well done! I didn't even here that!" I said. "Now that were DONE playing around", I gave the tabby apprintice a firm stare, " I'm going to teach you a back kick. It's a very simple move." I said and then I demonstrated. I took all the weight on my forepaws and kicked out with all my strength. It was graceful yet powerful and it felt right to do it. "You take all of the pressure on your forepaws pads and kick upwards slightly into your enemies chest or stomach, but it has to be forceful and well directed or it will do nothing. The timing must be correct too. So try it on you own and then maybe you can try it on me." I looked at the apprintice expectantly hoping that she had saw and listened.

As I was given a stern look, I really paid attention to everything that she showed and told me in that one move, I stood and stretched out I was at least happy that I had gotten a compliment for catching the mouse, however now I had to be serious because she was going to to get angry, I nodded and mimicked what she did done to a tee, all my weight on to my forepaws and then I kicked out with everything I had I landed and looked at her. How was that? I spoke softly not wanting to speak to loudly and make things worse. I sat back and wrapped my tail around my paws and waited to see what she had to say. |

I smiled. "Perfect!" I said happily. "Now try it on me. It's ok Honeypaw don't be scared, this is suppose to be fun but you also have to learn from it too." I braced myself for Honeypaw's kick. "Now don't be scared, you won't hurt me much, give it your best shot." I said encouraging the young cat.
