GENERAL
Weaknesses;
- Can be a little rash, rushes into some situations
- A bit of a sergeant-major in spirit, hard on himself and others
- Surly, short-tempered at some times
- Extremely impatient
- Never a diplomat, a bit quarrelsome in odd company
- Has a tendency to dismiss the paranormal: prophecies, stories, etc.
- Doesn't really trust anyone else.
- Not a great hunter, he's too impatient and has trouble moving silently.
- No imagination. Quite literally
Strengths;
- A good mentor, if his apprentice can deal with him
- Knows how to take care of himself
- Knows how to like off of very little
- A great fighter, handy in a violent situation
- The more that's going on, the calmer he seems to be
- Very straight-forward, never beats around the bush
- Surprisingly loyal to the clan, a good ally
- Not all brawn and no brains, he can be a clever tactician
- Has been around and knows a lot of cats.
Likes;
- Kits (although he would never, ever admit it, he thinks that they're cute)
- Fighting, as long as there's plenty of action, he's right at home
- Traveling, visiting other clans (if they let him)
- Catnip, when he can get it
- The clan - he's surprisingly loyal to it
- Himself, he's a bit egotistical
Dislikes;
- Water/being wet - he's definitely not a Riverclan cat
- When nothing's happening
- Being shut out of clan decisions
- Most other cats most of the time. A few individuals are exempt
- Being bossed around, he can make his own decisions and thank you
- Feeling helpless or like he can't do anything
Full Personality;
Brackenclaw is a tough, silent tom with not a lot to say. He's a big, husky sort of fellow, with an out-of-the-woods attitude and a bit of a sergeant-major kind of personality. He's a tough cat to get along with, but nonetheless he's strong and he knows more about patrolling than practically anyone. He's hardy, he can travel for days and days on very little, and he's a master at fighting techniques. Personality wise, though, he's a bit surly and short tempered. He gets frustrated when others can't do what he asks after several tries, and is always ragging on someone for being sloppy in their technique. He's not afraid to criticize anyone, including his higher-ups, and won't stand to be bossed around or told what to do. Despite this, however, he's a very loyal ally and extremely attached to the clan.
In Iceclan he has the reputation of being an excellent mentor... as long as his apprentice is willing to work hard to gain his approval and bear up well under his harsh teaching style. He's one of the best fighters in the clan, and he knows everything about traveling out in the open territory with nothing but one's own claws and teeth between then and death. In short, he's a useful sort of cat but hard to get along with, and he doesn't make a whole lot of friends because of it. He's dangerously stubborn, and a bit of a pessimist.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Pelt color; Ticked tabby, with residual markings on his legs and face
Eye color; Gray like storm clouds
Full description;
Brackenclaw is fairly average-average, slightly larger than most other cats but not huge, and not altogether unusual in any way. He's sturdy as a rock and well-built, a good looking warrior by any standards. A splash of orange-red shows on his nose, and he is gray in color with black ticking and stripes, a small white swirl on the very edge of his chest.
HISTORY + ETC.
History; Brackenclaw wasn't born in Iceclan, he was the son of a loner who died before he was quite weaned, a very young kit and his siblings left alone in the world. All of his brothers and sisters died, but Brackenclaw didn't fall to the same doom. He was the largest of the litter, but all the same his survival was quite miraculous, and he wasn't picked up by the clan until he was a feral six-month old who was ready to fight anything. Iceclan took him in as an apprentice, however, and he took to the way of the warrior fairly well, although his youth had an obvious mark upon his personality. [/size]
