The russet-colored cat held his head high, his long, fluffy tail waving through the air behind him as he trotted boldly up to Nightclan territory. He'd been hanging around here for a while, hunting, and at the moment he had a rabbit hanging from his jaws that would feed a good many clan cats. The bold loner propped his kill and licked at the honey-colored fur on his chest, flicking his paws occasionally as he looked out over the river, his long, beautiful tail curled up against his flank. His yellow eyes sparkled with merriment as he looked down at his kill. Surely the leader her would accept him once he gave her this! Even though her warriors had chased him off a few times already... Well, this time he wasn't stealing prey! He wanted to join Nightclan! To have a home! To have an apprentice!

Where are those pesky herbs?! I sighed. That one little word always gave me trouble. My mouth was already stuffed with them but I still needed more and I looked like a squirrel with its cheeks full of nuts. I spit the herbs out on the ground while I picked more. I pricked my ears as I heard approaching pawsteps. I put down the herbs that I picked into the little pile that I had also picked. I hoped that Leopardshine had more luck than I did finding the herbs we really need. I turned my attention back to the invading cat. "Come out. I know your there." I said, calmly. Though my pelt did bristle a little. Don't think that I'm weak, I can defend myself pretty good during a fight. Maybe not like a warrior but I was still really good at fighting for a medicine cat that is.

Rabbitfoot's whisker's twitched at the approaching form of the she-cat. My, was she a pretty one indeed! He watched her for a while, letting his golden eyes follow her, still gleaming. At her call, however, he stood up with the dead rabbit in his mouth and trotted boldly out of the bushes, his long tail weaving through the branches. He came up right in front of her and dropped the rabbit. "Why, hello there, gorgeous," he said flirtatiously, his long whiskers bobbing up and down on his cheeks as he spoke. "What's a pretty little cat like yourself doing out here all alone?" He looks down at the dead rabbit at his feet and then back up at her, his golden eyes tracing her frame pleasantly and his long tail swishing through the air. He thought that he must look very handsome at the moment, and this cat really was very pretty...

I smiled. "Why hello there stranger. Now the real question is what are you doing on NightClan's territory?" I said. He was quite the looker. I wondered if he was just some rogue looking for a good time. I shook my head, making the white leaf marking in the middle of my forehead blur. Probably not. I started to clean my white flecked pelt, seemingly ignoring him but I was cheaking him out. The stranger was very handsome longish red fur and yellow eyes. Oh but I was the medicine cat though and couldn't have a mate! But it wouldn't hurt just to play around with the tom. "What's a handsome tom like you doing without a mate?" I said with a "You really wanna mess with me?" grin. I went over and circled the tom my tail tip tapping his nose.

Rabbitfoot sat down nonchalantly and scratched behind one of his ears with the claws on his back paw. He watched the female with a glint in his eyes. "I bring a gift," he says simply, gesturing towards the dead rabbit, "in hopes that I can join this clan. Especially if every queen here is as beautiful as you," he was honestly quite a bit surprised that his flirting was getting anywhere.... usually it just got him clawed in the nose or something like that. He kept watching the pretty she-cat's lithe black frame, the white leaf marking on her forehead. When she mentioned his being mateless, however, he suddenly grew silent, remembering the she-cat that had broken his heart. Pain showed through his eyes, but he hid it by burying his nose in his chest, licking at it as if to root out a pesky flea.

Maybe it was time to give it up. I could only play with him and then disappoint him. Medicine cats couldn't have mates or kits. What a shame. I always wanted to have kits of my own. Little kits are so cute! I just loved playing with Lightningstreaks kits! Little Greykit made so much trouble! Oh I feel sorry for who ever gets that little ball of energy. I blinked my eyes at the red tom. "I'm sorry to disappoint you but I can't have a mate. I'm Willownight, medicine cat of NightClan. Medicine can't have mates it's againest the Warrior Code. I just couldn't resit teasing you a little." I brushed againest his fur and purred. "I'm sure you could join NightClan any way. We need more members." I purred some more. "But there are some other pretty she cats, maybe even prettier than me. Just pick up that rabbit of yours and follow me." I said between strong affectionate purrs. I couldn't help myself. The red stranger was a good looker and what she cat couldn't resit having at least a little affection toward him? I grinned again and turned my head to where the camp laid hidden.

Rabbitfoot blinked in confusion at her words, but then he realized what they meant. "I've always thought that was a stupid rule, you know," he growled quietly, "that the cats who could do the most to protect kits from disease aren't allowed to have any of their own." Of course, he knew the warrior code... he was a warrior, after all, but that had been such a long time ago and he'd never really taken the code seriously. It was more of, well, a guideline, he supposed. Leaders and medicine cats could never have children, but some of them did anyway, especially after they retired. All the same, he wasn't all that surprised when Willownight said she'd just been teasing him, he'd really just been teasing her, too. At her words about there being other pretty she-cats, his ears perked up slightly and his whiskers bobbed up and down. "Alright! Let's go!" he said happily, waving his long tail and picking up the body of the rabbit. "'m 'abbitfoo, by th' wey," he spat out around the body of the dead animal.

I laughed. "Well nice to meet you Rabbitfoot. Alright then come on." I started to trot off. Camp was close. "So how did you hear about us?" I asked. I was curious about how this rougue learned about the Clans. I sighed and thought about what Rabbitfoot had said. I agreed silently with him. That rule was stupid, I wished that it didn't exsist. I sighed again and continued at a faster pace.
