What in Starclan?!

Frostflower padded on the river, it was all very strange to the pampered she-cat, how can you walk on a river?! The water was there, she saw it, but she couldn't reach it. When she lived with Girl, the pool had always been filled with warm water, even in the winter when it steamed peacefully from the ice and snow falling into it. She dug her claws into the slippery ice coating on the water, staring down, trying to solve this riddle of why she couldn't get to the water. The only thing she was good at was fishing, so what would everyone think when she could no longer do that?

Lightningstar walked along the river, enjoying the feeling of the snow crunch under her paws. SHe closed her eyes and sniffed the cold, crisp air, enjoying the smell of leaf bare. She opened her eyes and sees Frostflower standing in the middle of the river , looking at the ice. "Whats wrong Frostflower?" She asked as she gracefully walked across the ice, getting to the simese cat. She stood next to the she-cat, looking at her with her green/yellow eyes.

Frostflower Looked up, mildly startled by the appearance of her new leader. You should have known she was coming! You're a warrior, aren't you?! She told herself, but then answered Lighteningstar. "Uh.. well, what happened to the water? Ice usually melts when it touches water, even in the winter.." She asked, the question sparkling in her blue eyes, and she looked back down and clawed the ice for emphasis.

"Well, unlike the water your used too when you were living with twolegs, this river always gets covered in ice during leaf-bare." She started to say as she looked at the cat. "Fish really isnt that plentiful during leaf-bare but if you want to get water, you need to break a small portion of the ice." Lightningstar stated as she started to gently push the she-cat back to the shore for she wouldnt get hurt from Lightningstar. Once Frostflower was on the shore, Lightningstar turned the around and started pound on the ice with her paws. After a few tries, she was able to crack the ice and water was rusing out from the cracks. Using her paw, sher removed the borken ice onto the shore for Frostflower.

Blossomflower was walking around the forest, most of her plants where now being covered by snow and she wanted to make sure they where perfectly covered and that they would survive. But some voices caught her ears and the white she-cat started to make her way to them. ''Hello'', she dipped her head to her leader then gave a quick nod to the new she-cat? Blossomflower wondered whom she was. ''Im blossomflower the medicinecat''.

Frostflower cocked her head while watching Lighteningstar, this was all very confusing. Her dark ears perked up to the sound of another cat's voice, the medicine cat... who is that? she sighed, dissappointed. There was just too much to learn, too fast! and then most of the clan looked down on her because she was once a housepet, and still loved her Girl... thinking of Girl she felt sad tears threathen, and she shook her head. No one yet knew she still wanted her twoleg, and she preferred to keep it that way. "Hi. I'm Frostflower," She said, then turned to walk out onto the ice to stand with her leader. But as soon as the clod water touched her paws, she jumped, and raced back to the back. "It's cold!" She exclaimed, not knowing that water could ever be could ever be cold.

Lightningstar sighed as she watched Frostflower running off. She looked over at her medicine cat and bowed her head. "Hello Blossomflower. How are your herbs?" She asked her medicine cat. She then looked over to Frostflower. "Ice always make water cold Frostflower." She said. If Frostflower was going to stay in the clan, then she has a lot of stuff to learn.

Blossomflower laughed under her breath, she found the new she-cat very amusing. She looked back at her leader with calm blue eyes, ''Most will survive the harsh winter im sure'', and sure she hoped. The she cat started to lick her chest, her mind wondering what would happen this bare leaf, last time horrible dreams had come to her but nothing had happened. She sighed and look up at the sky, hoping everything would be good, hoping kits would come, hoping the prophecy would end well.

Frostflower sighed, shuffling her paws. "I'm not a very good member, I'm afraid.." She whispered, then spoke lowder. "Why does the water get cold? The pond I lived with was always was warm in the winter, ice never covered it," Her head rose in a sort-of defiance, as if she could say that water was not cold and the stream would be warm.

"Well, before i join this clan, i was a loner. And during winter, i saw water that never froze in a twoleg area. Ive asked a kittypt why and he said that two legs use this thing called a 'heater' to keep the water warm." She said as she liked her paw.
